Technology Immersion Program

Harvestworks is pleased to offer the Technology Immersion Program (TIP), a professional development program for Artists who have a passion for learning the tools of digital media but do not have the research, training and  equipment necessary to produce artworks in this medium.  The total cost for the program is $2300. Scholarships for this professional development program are available for 2025.

The program’s focus is on the following major areas: Code-based sound, performance and visual arts including Machine Learning, AI, AR and VR and Spatial and 3D Audio, including analog audio and video synthesis.

Master Class with Kristin Lucas

Students will receive 20 hours of small group master classes plus 20 hours of individual training with a Harvestworks instructor relevant to their chose area of technology. The student is expected to fulfill practice sessions in their home studio or at the Harvestworks Lab (when available). Ongoing networking meetings and work in progress presentations will be scheduled with others in the program, our artists in residence, engineers, technical affiliates and interns.

Scholarships for the program are provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the New York State Council on the Arts and Friends of Harvestworks.

Harvestworks’ mission is to present experimental artworks created in collaboration with our Technology, Engineering, Art and Music (TEAM) Lab. The Harvestworks T.E.A.M Lab supports the creation of art works achieved through the use of new and evolving technologies and provides an environment for experimentation with project consultants, technicians, instructors and innovative practitioners in all branches of the electronic arts.
