Raymond Pinto

Raymond Pinto is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores and expands upon the intersection of visual art and dance. Their choreographies aim to push boundaries and craft narratives that harbor conversation between African and Latin diaspora and the Western art canon. As a professional dancer, Raymond has worked internationally, participating in performances at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival, the Architecture Center of Vienna, the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York, NY) and the G.A.S. Foundation in Lagos, Nigeria, among others.

Raymond is a graduate of Juilliard School (New York, NY), and holds a Master’s in Performance Studies from New York University. They have completed residencies at Movement Research (New York, NY), The Center for Performance Research (Brooklyn, NY), the Baryshnikov Arts Center (New York, NY), and the Biennale di Danza (Venice, Italy).
