Chris Williams

Chris Williams is a Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary artist and musician. His work, which includes electroacoustic composition and performance installation, explores the decoding of family history and time-space compression. He has toured extensively in the United States and abroad, including performances at the WeJazz Festival (Finland, 2022), The Kitchen NYC (New York, 2023), and La Sala Rossa (Canada, 2022).

Chris holds an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts (Valencia, CA). He has been commissioned by WasteLAnd and the International Contemporary Ensemble, and has participated in residency programs at BANFF Centre for the Arts, Atlantic Center for the Arts, and Musik Installationen Nürnberg. He is a 2023 American Composers Forum Fellow, as well as a 2024-2025 Hermitage Artist Retreat Fellow.
